The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency of Thailand (GISTDA) has selected Airbus as partner for its next-generation national geo-information system, including Earth Observation satellites, capacity building and integrated geo-information platform. THEOS-2 is an optical satellite system delivering images with a ground resolution of 0.5 meter, scheduled to be launched in 2020.
Airbus will develop six application workshops in Thailand, including the Agriculture and Food Security, and the Natural Resources and Ecosystem application workshops.
